Cocktail
Dressing for a cocktail party is a little easier and less stressful, as the dress code is usually a little more lenient. However, whether you prefer pants or a skirt you can never go wrong with a classic cocktail dress. This one from the fabulous Dallas vintage store, Jack Retro, is to die for! A pop of color will never go out of style, and a refined black and white pattern, paired with a bright red shoe is stunning. Kathy finished off this timeless look with the perfect drop earrings and necklace to elevate this ensemble to the fullest, and the great thing about vintage is that no-one else will be wearing anything like your outfit.
Gala
We are obsessed with this look. It is so chic and glamorous while being completely timeless. A simple black evening gown is a must in everyones closet. This vintage Calvin Klein stunner can be worn to so many different events, and can be styled differently just by changing accessories and your clutch. Hair either up or down changes up the look too. The best thing about a dress like this is since it can be styled in so many different ways, you can wear it multiple times to different events. KF styled it with strappy stilettos and classic necklace for a truly refined look. And did we mention, it totally channels our inner Bond girl!
This elegant back detail makes us swoon! It’s a small detail that makes such a big impact. It adds a bit of sex-appeal while still remaining classy and refined.
Can we take a moment to appreciate this ensemble that KF styled? It is the perfect gala look. We don’t usually attribute separates with a gala look, but these two paired together are making us want to give it a try. This is the perfect way to take a fancier top you may already own (which Kathy does) and pair with a fabulous, feminine, and voluminous skirt. The sequin features on the top, paired with the beadwork on the skirt, truly tie the look together and give it such a designer appeal. The contrast of darker and lighter colors give just enough variation without being bland. This skirt is another fab find from Jack Retro. If you are in the DFW area, you have to pay them a visit for fabulous finds that are truly unique and beautiful!
