This weekend for Memorial Day, throw your best get together whether you’re at home, the beach, or the lake.  Coming up with a menu to make everyone happy can be challenging and chaotic, but having options makes everything run smoothly on the day of your party, while keeping you calm, cool, and collected!

We have dome up with some fun, fresh, and festive menu items that are versatile and  all-American, while creating delish options for your guests. Continue reading to get the recipes and decor tips for throwing the cutest Memorial Day party ever!

Haute Hotdogs! are an easy alternative to barbecue and quick to make. Turn your hotdog gourmet in just a few minutes by adding loads of delicious and unexpected toppings for your guests to make it a specialty dog of their own. Burgers are another great option as well. Add sides of cheeses, avocado, bacon, and sauces to make your party guests have their fun and freedom with their burger.

Adding a little bit of Memorial Day decor can be all you need to “prepare” for a backyard or house party. Mason jars, plastic wear, paper plates and napkins in red, white, and blue are accessible, easy, and perfect for a backyard party. If you’re feeling crafty, painting mason jars according to the theme to hold forks and knifes is an adorable touch.

Use a bandana as a table runner or as napkins. There’s nothing more American than bandanas on the table for Memorial Day and we love spreading the red, white, and blue spirit!   Use paper plates and plastic wear you can throw away for an easy, happy cleanup so you can spend more time enjoying your family and friends.

A wedge salad is a classic food menu item and most everyone seems to enjoy. Take a different twist on the traditional wedge, and make little wedge bites drizzled with ranch for an easy bite. These are simple and quick to make and take people by surprise…bonus points for you!

If you aren’t doing burgers or hotdogs (or if you are), another option is a sausage and shrimp mix. Add in potatoes and corn for more flavor. A delicious alternative to the slightly more traditional fare!

And of course, the best for last, everyone loves cobbler as a Memorial Day dessert. Keep the theme going and use red and blue berries to top it off and whipped cream as an option (kids will love this). It tops off dinner and the night perfectly, and did we mention it tastes even better with a glass of champagne? Cheers & happy cooking!
